This is an idle breakout game. Balls bounce around the field on their own, chip away at the bricks, and pop them for gold. Spend that gold on more balls, new ball types, and upgrades to damage, speed, and gold, and the bricks fall faster and faster. There is no paddle and no way to lose, just a number that keeps going up while you decide what to buy.

It is a self-built game made by PlayClick, our own take on the idle breakout format. It is not affiliated with any other idle breakout or brand. Same loop of break bricks, buy balls, and grow, our own bricks, physics, ball types, and code. It runs in your browser with no sign-up and no download, and your progress saves on your device. You can close the tab and come back to the same run, plus a capped amount of gold your balls banked while you were away.

How to play

The balls play themselves. They bounce around the field, hit bricks, and take a chunk off each brick's health, shown as the number on the brick. When a brick hits zero it pops and drops gold. Clear every brick and the next wave spawns with tougher bricks, forever, so the only limit is how fast your balls can break them.

Spend gold in the shop. Add more balls to raise your total damage, buy the global upgrades for damage, speed, and gold, and unlock new ball types as you reach the waves that open them. Every ball you add costs a little more than the last, so prices climb as you scale up.

That is the whole loop. Break bricks for gold, buy balls and upgrades so you break bricks faster, then push into higher waves. There is no paddle to miss and no game over, just a run that keeps growing.

How to earn gold fast

Early on, the cheapest Basic balls give you the most damage for your gold, so stack a handful and keep an eye on the Ball Damage upgrade. Gold from a brick tracks its health, so your gold per second is roughly your total damage per second times your gold bonus. That means damage and gold upgrades both pay off, and the newest ball type you can just afford is usually the best next buy.

Do not sit on a big pile of gold. Spend it on whatever raises your damage per second the most for the price. A spread of ball types usually out-damages stacking one type, because each new type opens a bigger jump than the tenth copy of an old ball.

When a single wave starts taking a long time, your bricks are outgrowing your balls. That is the sign to prestige. See the strategy guide for a tested upgrade order, gold-per-second breakpoints, and prestige timing.

The ball types

There are five ball types, each with its own job. The Basic ball is your cheap, steady starter. The Sniper re-aims at the toughest brick on the board every second and a half, which makes it the answer to boss bricks and high-health rows. The Scatter ball splashes half its damage to neighbouring bricks, so it clears full boards quickly.

The Power ball is heavy and slow, landing big single hits on tough bricks. The Void ball, unlocked after your first prestige, deals a flat hit plus a slice of each brick's maximum health, which is the only damage that keeps scaling as brick health explodes in the late game.

You do not have to pick one. The strongest runs mix types so each covers what the others miss, and the guide has a table ranking them by gold per second for the price.

Prestige and offline earnings

Prestige resets your run: gold, wave, balls, and the global upgrades all go back to the start, and in exchange you earn Rubies based on the gold you made that run. Rubies buy permanent boosts to gold and damage that stay through every future prestige, so each run starts stronger than the last and pushes deeper. Your first prestige also unlocks the Void ball for good.

Because the balls keep breaking bricks while the tab is open, and bank a capped amount of gold for the time you are away, the fastest way to play is to buy a round of upgrades and leave it running. Come back later to a bigger pile and a shop full of things you can suddenly afford. Offline gold is capped at eight hours and pays at about half your live rate, since no real physics runs while the tab is closed.

Does it save, and is it unblocked

Your run saves automatically in your browser, so you can close the tab and come back to the same gold, balls, upgrades, and wave. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account, the save lives on your device. You can also export your run as a code and import it on another device from the box under the game.

The game runs entirely in the browser with no downloads and no plugins, so it works on a school or office network the same as anywhere else. There is nothing to install and nothing to unblock, just open the page and the balls start bouncing. If you clear your browser data the save resets, so export a code first if you want to keep a run.

Questions and answers

What is Idle Breakout?

It is an idle brick-breaker where balls bounce on their own, break bricks for gold, and you spend that gold on more balls and upgrades. There is no paddle and no way to lose. The bricks get tougher each wave, so the game is about growing your balls' damage faster than the bricks grow.

How do I get more balls?

Buy them in the shop with gold. Each ball type has its own button and its own cost, which rises as you buy more. New types unlock as you reach the waves that open them, and the Void ball unlocks after your first prestige.

What does prestige do?

Prestige resets your run and pays out Rubies based on the gold you made. Rubies buy permanent gold and damage boosts that stay through every future prestige, so you restart stronger and reach higher waves. It is worth doing once a single wave starts taking a long time.

Do I keep earning while the tab is closed?

Partly. The game banks a capped amount of gold for the time you were away, based on your recent gold per second, up to an eight-hour cap and at about half your live rate. Keep the tab open to break bricks at full speed.

Does the game save, and can I move a run between devices?

Yes. Your run saves automatically in your browser on your device. You can also export it as a code from the box under the game and paste that code into the import box on another device. Clearing your browser data resets the local save, so export a code first if you want to keep it.

Is it free and does it work unblocked?

Yes. The game is free, needs no sign-up, and runs fully in your browser, so it plays the same on a school or work network as anywhere else. There is nothing to download or install.
