Planet Clicker 2 is a bigger idle game than a single planet. Click to harvest a burst of energy, then spend it on machines that harvest for you, starting with a lone probe and climbing all the way to Dyson swarms and wormhole grids that drink the light of whole stars. Every machine you build raises your energy per second, so the number keeps rising while you plan the next tier.
It is a self-built game made by PlayClick, our own follow-up to our Planet Clicker with ten generator tiers instead of eight and a galactic scale to grow into. It is not the same as any other Planet Clicker 2 and it is not affiliated with them. Same simple loop of click, build, and grow, our own generators and our own code. It runs in your browser with no sign-up and no download, and your progress saves on your device, so you can close the tab and come back to the same galaxy plus a capped amount of energy your grid banked while you were away.
How to play
Click to harvest energy. Every click adds a burst to your total, plus a small bonus that grows with your grid, so early clicks matter and later clicks still help. When you have enough energy, build your first machine from the panel on the right.
Each machine harvests energy on its own, measured as energy per second. A Harvest Probe trickles power, a Mining Drone chews asteroids, an Orbital Collector soaks up starlight. The more you own of a machine, the more it costs, so prices climb as you scale up. New machines appear as you get close to affording them.
That is the whole loop. Click to get moving, build machines so you earn without clicking, then pour that energy into bigger machines. The number only goes up, and there is no losing, just how fast your galaxy grows.
What is different in Planet Clicker 2
The first game is about powering one planet. This one is about powering a galaxy, so it runs two tiers deeper. There are ten generator types instead of eight, and the last two, the Galactic Array and the Wormhole Grid, harvest hundreds of thousands and then millions of energy a second once you stack them.
That extra depth changes the late game. In the first game you top out around a single Dyson ring. Here the Dyson Swarm is the middle of the tree, not the end, and there is a long climb past it through neutron stars, black holes, and folded space. The numbers get big fast, so the short-scale shorthand (K, M, B, T and up) does the heavy lifting on screen.
Everything else you know carries over. Same click to start, same buy to grow, same offline banking while you are away. If you have played our Planet Clicker, you already know the loop, this is just a longer road to the top.
How to harvest energy fast
Early on, build the cheapest machine you can afford and keep clicking between builds. Harvest Probes and Mining Drones pay for themselves quickly and get your energy per second off zero.
Once you have a steady flow, stop hoarding and spend. A rough rule is to build whatever gives you the most energy per second for each unit spent, which is usually the newest machine you can just afford. Do not sit on a huge reserve, put it to work in machines that harvest more.
Because the grid keeps running while the tab is open, and banks a capped amount while you are away, the fastest players check in, build a round of machines, and leave it running. Come back later to a far bigger number and a panel full of machines you can suddenly afford.
The generators
There are ten generators, each stronger and pricier than the last. The Harvest Probe and Mining Drone are your starters, cheap and steady. The Orbital Collector, Fusion Ring, and Star Lifter are the early climb, where your energy per second first takes off.
The Dyson Swarm, Neutron Tap, and Black Hole Drive are the mid game, turning harvesting into an industry that spans star systems. The Galactic Array and the Wormhole Grid are the end game, each harvesting a torrent of energy once you own a stack. You will not afford them for a long while, and that is the point.
Build in breadth, not just depth. A spread of many generator types usually out harvests pouring everything into one, because each new type opens a bigger energy-per-second jump than the tenth copy of an old one.
Does it save, and is it unblocked
Your galaxy saves automatically in your browser, so you can close the tab and come back to the same energy, generators, and rate. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account, the save lives on your device. It saves separately from our first Planet Clicker, so you can run both at once.
The game runs entirely in the browser with no downloads and no plugins, so it works on a school or office network the same as anywhere else. There is nothing to install and nothing to unblock, just open the page and start harvesting. If you clear your browser data the save resets, so keep that in mind before wiping it.
Questions and answers
What is Planet Clicker 2?
It is an idle clicker game where you click to harvest energy and build generators that harvest for you, from a lone probe to wormhole grids that span a galaxy. It is PlayClick's own follow-up to our Planet Clicker, with ten generator tiers and a deeper late game. It is not the same as any other Planet Clicker 2 and is not affiliated with them.
How is it different from the first Planet Clicker?
It runs two tiers deeper. There are ten generators instead of eight, and the last two harvest hundreds of thousands and then millions of energy per second, so the late game is a much longer climb. The core loop of click, build, and grow is the same, and it saves separately, so you can play both.
How do I get energy per second?
Build generators from the panel. Each one harvests energy on its own, and its energy per second adds to your total. Start with cheap Harvest Probes and Mining Drones, then work up to Dyson swarms, black holes, and wormhole grids as your rate grows.
Do I keep earning while the tab is closed?
Partly. The game banks a capped amount of energy for the time you were away, based on your energy per second, so you come back to a reward without it running forever unattended. Keep the tab open to harvest at full speed.
Does the game save my progress?
Yes. Your energy, generators, and rate save automatically in your browser on your device, separately from the first Planet Clicker. Close the tab and come back later to find your galaxy exactly as you left it. Clearing your browser data will reset the save.
Is it free and does it work unblocked?
Yes. The game is free, needs no sign-up, and runs fully in your browser, so it plays the same on a school or work network as anywhere else. There is nothing to download or install.
