Trail Blitz is an endless running game through dusk forest hills. Bomb down the slopes to build speed, and jump the rocks and logs the trail throws at you. One hit ends the run, so you have to read the hills and time each jump clean. There is no finish line, just how far you can push before you clip something.

It is a self-built game made by PlayClick, our own take on the obstacle-dodge runner. It is not affiliated with any other running game or brand, and it uses our own art and code. It runs right in your browser with no sign-up and no download, so it plays the same on a school Chromebook as it does at home.

How to play

The runner goes on its own and picks up speed down the hills. Your job is to get over the obstacles. Tap jump to hop the rocks and logs sitting on the trail.

Hold dive to build speed on the descents, but watch the ground ahead. An obstacle on a flat stretch needs a well-timed jump, and one you take too early or too late clips you and ends the run.

The faster you go, the less time you get to react, so the game is a running trade between speed and control. Push your luck for distance, or ease off to read a tricky patch.

Controls

On a keyboard, tap the Up arrow (or W) to jump over an obstacle. Hold Space or the Down arrow to dive and build speed on the way down the hills.

On a phone or tablet, use the jump button in the corner to hop, and tap and hold anywhere on the game to dive. There is nothing to install and no keyboard needed.

Jump is a tap, not a hold, so time it for the moment you reach the obstacle. Holding jump does not keep you in the air, it just hops once.

Tips to run farther

Time your jump late. Hop just before you reach a rock, not the moment you see it, so you come down clear on the other side instead of landing back on it.

Manage your speed. Full speed is great on open stretches, but if you see a cluster of obstacles, ease off the dive so you have time to jump each one. Distance still counts while you are careful.

Use the hills. A crest already launches you, so an obstacle right after a hilltop can be cleared with the natural jump. Learn to tell when you need to tap jump and when the terrain does the work for you.

Scoring and your best run

Your score is the distance you run in meters, and your best is saved on your device so you can chase it. Coins you grab on the trail add up across every run into a lifetime total.

The trail gets faster and the hills get taller the farther you go, so obstacles come at you quicker late in a run. That is where clean, late jumps separate a good run from a great one.

Your best distance sits at the top of the screen the whole time, waiting to be beaten.

Questions and answers

What is Trail Blitz?

It is a free endless running game where you run through forest hills and jump the rocks and logs in your way. One hit ends the run, and the score is how far you get. It is PlayClick's own game, not affiliated with any other running game or brand.

How do I jump obstacles?

Tap the Up arrow or W to hop over a rock or log. It is a tap, not a hold, so time it for the moment you reach the obstacle. On a phone, use the jump button in the corner.

Why do I keep hitting things?

Usually the jump is too early or too late, or you are going too fast to react. Jump just before you reach an obstacle, and ease off the dive through a cluster so you have time to clear each one.

Can I play it on my phone?

Yes. On a touch screen, use the jump button in the corner to hop and tap and hold anywhere on the game to dive. There is no keyboard needed and nothing to install.

Is it free and does it work unblocked at school?

Yes. The game is free, needs no sign-up, and runs fully in your browser, so it plays the same on a school or work network as anywhere else. There is nothing to download. We are not a proxy, so if your network blocks this exact site we cannot get around that.
